Long Term Disability (LTD)*

The Long Term Disability (LTD) plan is designed to provide you income if you are unable to work for a period longer than 26 weeks due to injury or illness.

Who pays for the benefit	Avista

Elimination period	Benefits begin after 26 weeks of continuous disability
Amount of the benefit	60% of your pre-disability earnings until you qualify as eligible for retirement benefits 50% of your pre-disability earnings when you are eligible for retirement (when you reach age 55 and have at least 15 years of service with Avista)
Maximum benefit period	Employees with 1 to 10 years of service: 1 year of benefits for each completed year of service Employees with 10 or more years of service: until they reach the limiting age as defined by the Plan Benefits continue for eligible employees until they retire or reach their Normal Retirement Age, whichever comes first
Taxation of benefit	Any benefits you receive will be taxable to you

*Temporary employees are not eligible for this benefit.
