- Unused money carries over at the end of each year. If you leave the company, your HRA dollars remain in your account. You can submit expenses until your balance is $0 – with no required time limit.
- Can be paired with a Health Care FSA. You can set aside your own pre-tax money in an FSA to help cover health expenses that exceed your HRA amount.
